I graduated from Douglass College,
Rutgers University, with general honors and honors in Classics. My M.A. is from Columbia University in
history (Egyptology). I taught
Classical Languages (including Egyptian, Ancient Greek and Latin) at a
Waldorf School for six years. My
astrological training was from Joseph and Jill-laurie Crane, and Robert
Hand. I have been seeing clients
and teaching astrology since 1992, and have taught at The Astrology Institute since 1994. In 1997, Robert Hand asked me to translate the Introduction
of Paulus Alexandrinus, along with the Scholia to that work, and the
commentary on it by Olympiodorus.
This translation was published as Late
Classical Astrology: Paulus Alexandrinus and Olympiodorus with the Scholia
from Later Commentators in 2001. In 2001 I also became a Certified Astrologer through the
National Council for Geocosmic Research.
My research paper for that certification, Temperament and
Astrology in Theory, History and Practice, is now a book that I hope to
publish in the near future.
